NFU President Tom Bradshaw to give address on the UK farming unions #StopTheFamilyFarmTax campaign outlining why the proposed changes to APR (Agricultural Property Relief) and BPR (Business Property Relief) announced in the Autumn budget will decimate family farms across the country impacting not just them but the wider agri-food sector and allied industries.

Hear why this is bad policy based on incorrect data and announced with no consultation. It stands to impact 75% of commercial family farms with many having no time to put plans in place to reduce the impact of the new tax, forcing many to sell all or part of their farm to foot the bill.

Show your support and join at 10am in Hall 9 on Wednesday 15 January.

This session will explain the founding of the Agri-mind Alliance and share the charter that describes the approach being taken by the alliance to improve mental health and wellbeing in farming and agriculture. The Agri-mind Alliance’s mission is to collaborate with rural landowners, farming families, mental health organisations, agricultural contractors, agricultural advisors and all those that could cross the farm gate to raise awareness, reduce stigma and promote access to essential support services. Alliance members actively encourage others to join and will extend that invitation during the session.

The panel aims to help veterans make informed decisions about agricultural careers and connect with industry leaders and employers. Additionally, the event is designed for farmers and growers to understand the benefits of employing veterans and thinking creatively about expanding their talent pool. Agricultural employers will gain insights into the unique skills and perspectives veterans can bring to their operations, potentially leading to innovative solutions and improved productivity in the farming sector.
