Andrew Knowles
Andrew developed his passion for farming working as a teenager on family and friends’ farms in the UK and France at weekends and holidays. He studied Agricultural Management at the University of Reading and then completed an Advanced Diploma in Agricultural Management at Seale Hayne. He started his career as an agricultural business consultant with Laurance Gould Partnership in East Anglia and then in Scotland supporting arable, root crop and pig businesses. He then specialised in the pig sector working for the British Pig Executive and the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board leading the technical, veterinary, research and supply chain teams supporting pig producers, abattoir, and processing businesses. During this time, he also completed an MBA in Strategy, Marketing and International Finance. Andrew then joined ForFarmers as the Group Swine Marketing Director, based in the Netherlands, responsible for the development and execution of the business’ pig feed strategy across its European markets – Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Belgium and UK. In July 2020 Andrew was appointed CEO at Fram Farmers the leading UK Farmers' cooperative supporting 1500 farming businesses in 39 counties with a combined turnover in excess of £300 million.
