The flagship KEENAN MechFiber diet feeder, so named for its pioneering ‘mechanical-fibre’ concept, features paddles and blades that have been specially configured to gently and precisely cut and mix feed ingredients without any ‘dead spots’. On feeding-out, a signature secondary feed-out auger takes a uniform full-length cross-segment of the feed ration as it rotates in the main auger to ensure a consistent ration from start to finish. The result is a consistent, ‘open’, and precisely processed total mixed ration that stimulates the rumen to work effectively, every time. When combined with the InTouch system, this has been certified by the Carbon Trust to reduce methane production per litre of milk.
