Hugh Crane (Cleaning Equipment) Ltd were formed in 1983 to satisfy the demand for high quality
industrial cleaning equipment. Over the past four decades the business has invested not only
in it’s people but in it’s infrastructure and operates across three purpose built sites throughout
East Anglia employing over 70 staff. With a diverse range of customers, the company supplies
bespoke equipment to a large number of sectors including food processing, agriculture, military,
manufacturing, engineering and the leisure and service industries.
The business is engaged in the design, manufacture, supply and servicing of industrial cleaning
machines together with the distribution of a wide range of chemicals and janitorial cleaning
equipment. In the mid 80’s the business launched the Commando range of independently powered
pressure washers. Designed and built at their fabrication facility at Acle near Norwich they
supply a large range of specialist machines for the pig and poultry, industrial and recently waste
management sector.
Caskforce, a range of cask and keg washers and fillers are supplied to the brewing industry and was
launched in 2010. The range has evolved with over two hundred systems sold in the UK, USA and
Europe and Hugh Crane are now one of the leading manufacturers of this equipment in this sector.
With a philosophy of providing the highest quality service within the industry Hugh Crane were the
first SME in the country to achieve the BSI ISO 9001 quality standard back in 1995 and currently
hold both this and the ISO14001 Environmental Certification.
