The process behind UTV3012

Like all our new products we have developed, the UTV3012 didn’t just happen overnight. It’s the result of a long journey of research and development, ensuring that it not only meets the aesthetic needs of older machines but also upholds UTV Products’ premium quality standards. Our in-house engineers started with CAD designs to work out how the PCB would fit inside the mould and conducted thorough testing, including thermal analysis. 

We took things a step further by producing 3D-printed prototypes for fitment trials onto machines that UTV3012 would be fitted to. These prototypes helped us make necessary adjustments before moving on to alpha testing and securing E-mark certification. Once all the boxes were ticked, production was ready to begin—and now, the UTV3012 is officially here! 

The idea behind UTV3012

But you might wonder, where did the idea come from? According to Jack Campbell, Engineering Manager at UTV Products, it all started with your feedback. “Customers kept coming to us asking for a light that kept the original halogen look but that had the benefits an LED offers. It was clear to us that there was a demand for a square work light that maintained the OEM appearance of their machine but that was also powerful.”

So, we listened to what you wanted. The UTV3012 combines the classic look of halogen lights with the performance technology of UTV Products LEDs. This makes it the perfect retrofit for older tractors still out there in regular work or new models which want the option to upgrade their lighting package.

Now, after months of careful design, testing, and tweaking, we’re proud to launch the UTV3012. Whether you are buying new equipment or upgrading your existing machine, this new work light offers you the best of both worlds: the maintenance of OEM appearance whilst benefiting from a performance LED.
